I have. Any ideas I can try. I downloaded the source from dlink and appears to compile OK. Not sure if that is right, so little anxious about putting the code in. I built the basic jtag-hairydairymaid. Was hoping to get this working and then maybe build a wiggler as well So does anyone have any tips on getting the jtag going. I be willing to get my hands dirty with a little help from my friends if I can get their code compiled and downloaded into my router.
Regards Jitz. Back to top. Posted: Sat Apr 12, Post subject:. Posted: Sun Apr 13, Post subject: Jtag connection info?? I guess this is a 2. My main problem right now is getting the device to talk to jtag or jtag to talk to the device. What is the normal sequence of events to connect to the device using tjtag?? I would like to use tjtag to get the image off the device before trying homecooked kernel. Once I get tjtag talking to the device, I will probably have to do some coding to support serial flash.
Will contribute back whatever I put together. Main question: What is the normal sequence of events to connect to the device using tjtag?? I haven’t done this Maybe this is my issue I will try it out and get back with success or failure. On a side note: Any hope on getting 2. Power on the router, wait about one second, then enter return on the command line to execute tjtag, This is what we get.
Done Enabling Memory Writes Skipped Halting Processor Posted: Fri Jan 09, Post subject:. By the way, how do you get in the redboot?? I used a modified version of tjtag to flash it. I gave the modified source code to Tornado a while back to integrate and release so there is only one master in circulation.
He was going to do some clean-up and add other features, etc. So he should have something my code was very raw , not user friendly. Using Tjtag you can get a redboot into the new flash chip As for getting the wbr working, yes I did. It has a 2 Meg serial flash chip. I popped it out and put a 4 Meg serial flash chip. I also downloaded the linux code from the D-Link ftp site.
It’s a while back and don’t remember how much luck I had with it. Posted: Mon Jan 12, Post subject:. I have all the hardware down, I saw the JTAG pinouts you provided and made a buffered jtag and soldered the wires to the right places. Do i need to use Tjtagv3-RC-1 or tjtagv?
If i need to use Tjtagv3-RC-1, how do i use the. Any help in the right direction would be great. Posted: Sat Jan 31, Post subject: how to? Hi i have dlink wbr router too which has only 2Mb of flash.
Posted: Thu Feb 05, Post subject: wbr I’ve done a similar mod on a wbr 25fl mod and installed dd-wrt v24 sp1. In the config panel I did the setups and have it working ok eg repeater bridge mode. I do the saves etc. Posted: Thu Feb 05, Post subject: johni.
Regards Jitz I get the dd-wrt panel up every time. It doesn’t take my saves once i’m in the config panel. Like you say it could be something about the serial flash chip. The wbr seems to be similar hardware to the dir I’ll do some digging and post if i solve it. Posted: Mon Jan 06, Post subject:. I know this is an old topic but I didn’t want to start a new one when this one was already here. I have a WBR that is A1 for the hardware version.
I am wondering if it could get the wrt firmware on it like it seems this person did. Except I don’t want to do jtag stuff as I don’t have the stuff needed.
I just want to download a file and flash it to the router like I did my linksys router for a friend.
