Realtek USB & USB Card Reader driver for Windows 10 (bit) – Desktop – Lenovo Support AU
I bought my YISK15 6 months ago. It’s working well except a usb 3. It was working in the beginning, then after a month or two, it suddendly stopped working. I decided to re-install my OS windows 10 from scratch.
The usb 3. For a few days Then after apparently a few windows updates then port stopped working again. Furthermore, not only my rear right USB 3. I ended up installing a dual boot partition with Ubuntu on it to deal with my huge data transfers. I guess what: all my USB port were working perfectly and transfer speed was great! Now is my question: Did someone already get that issue with its Y under windows 10 and, most important, how can this be solved?
Is there some way to remove all usb drivers to relace them with windows 10 defaults or lenovo factory defaults PS: I add an mail exchange with Lenovo support which was giving me this “”solution”” that I’d like to avoid : Re-installing again This would avoid my clean and working usb drivers from being replaced. Hi jsncrdnl, Have you tried re-installing the chipset drivers for the system. If this does not work try going to the device manager and look under Universal Serial Bus Contorllers.
Uninstall the USB 3. Hope this helps. Thanks for the reply. I already tried to uninstall usb drivers then resart my computer but this doesn’t actually change a thing The problem is that this won’t run on my computer even running it with “windows 7 compatibility” I just checked that post and they’re refering in 1st accepted answer to Update KB which doesn’t exist on my win10 system First solution can’t be applied on my laptop.
Concerning the second accepted answer, I already tried many times to update my usb host controller driver using online driver search. I think the good way to go is answer 1 from your link but how could I find out which Windows update is responsible from my usb ports issue? I tried many possible solutions, but in fact the biggest progress I got, when I started to get rid of Lenovo provided drivers and replaced them with most recent, generic versions from manufacturers sites.
Unfortunately, it seems that most drivers available to download from Lenovo support are old, outdated and malfunctioning versions. In my case, the key was to download most recent version of Intel Chipset Drivers directly from Lenovo current version is I also got rid of Razer software, it was causing some problem. Ha, if I ever will be forced to reinstal Windows, I will delete completely content of HDD and will do clean install using media downloaded directly from Microsoft, to get rid of any trace of Lenovo bloatware!
For time being I solemly sweared that I will never again intall any drivers update from their site. Mod’s Edit: Please keep in mind that these forums are accessed by people of all ages. Thanks for the suggestion but I also already tried to update the drivers using the ones from intel’s website. I am a volunteer in this forum and also a lenovo user.
