I’ve made an addition each new Halo game and I started with Halo 3. My oldest configuration is still the one I use most, and he’s male, but I do switch out now and then.
Gives me a reason to use other colors and armor pieces that I like but that wouldn’t fit my primary character or that look silly on a male Spartan. This way I’ll still be experimenting with armor setups long after I’ve nailed down what I want the purple guy to look like. I might do that once I get the previous four nailed down. I use female for the slender appearance. I dont like the bulkiness of the male armor. Depends on the armor I’m wearing, some look better in one gender and some look better in the other.
Fun fact: Your in-game character is a fictional person, NOT a reflection of who you are in real life. If I play Saints Row and choose to have purple skin does that mean I’m a damn plum in real life? The simple fact is, who wants to be themselves in a fictional universe?
I sure as hell don’t, give me the choice and I’ll be an elf, a robot, a furry, a spirit, a demon, a lizard, literally anything but human. Fantasy is just that, people don’t pick females because they have a smaller hitbox or because of “dat -Yoink-” they do it because they want to, because they chose for their fictional character to be that way.
From Reach onward, though, I play as a male. Some of the helmets are laughably big on the female model. Grihaly wrote:. I always play as the female characters any game that allow it And is just fiction I got the control of my pretty Spartan killing everybody lol. Idk this just doesn’t make sense to me. If you are a guy..
Play as a guy.. If you are a girl.. Play as a girl you know? But to each their own. I’ve seen people play as girl Spartans then I click on their gamertag and see a avatar of a girl then hear them on a mic and it’s a dude. That’s what really confuses me. I play as a guy. Maybe I’m just not open minded enough.. People say they like the slimmer version more because it reminds them of themselves.. But that makes no sense because women look like women..
As for OP saying I’d rather watch a girl Spartan roll around when they die I don’t mean it in a bad way.. I guess that’s valid enough. I do it in every game where it is possible. In Elder Scrolls online I have 7 female and 1 male characters.
In Destiny I have only female characters. I don’t really know why I do it, but in most cases it’s because the female character looks much better overall. In halo I do it because of the slimmer look, I guess.
